Posted in Album Reviews, Reviews with tags Ufomammut on 03/03/2015 by Kurt Orzeck
Like their sludgy psych brethren in Neurosis, whose members founded Neurot Recordings, Ufomammut delve deep into metal’s mossy underbelly, making bands like Tool look like camp counselors. That said, the Italian trio’s seventh album could be their catchiest yet—to the extent that 10-minute tracks wholly devoid of verse-chorus-verse structure could qualify as catchy. Woods Of Ypres’ David Gold And Crash Test Dummies’ Brad Roberts: Doppelgängers
Posted in Doppelgängers, Features with tags Brad Roberts, Crash Test Dummies, David Gold, Woods of Ypres on 03/21/2012 by Kurt Orzeck
Since David Gold is no longer alive, we’ll never get to hear him sing Crash Test Dummies’ “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm.”
