On Tyranny: Donald Trump Is More Insane Than the Craziest Musicians Ever, From Elvis to Kanye
Consider the following:
1. Michael “Pras” Michel, one-third of the Fugees, was convicted in April 2023 on 10 counts related to falsifying business records. Donald Trump was convicted in May 2024 on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
2. Syd Barrett, guitarist and co-founder of Pink Floyd, allegedly took LSD every morning and locked his girlfriend in a room for three days. Donald is allegedly sending individuals who may or may not be documented U.S. citizens to gulags in El Salvador and is publicly urging Americans to not take Tylenol.
3. Keith Moon, drummer of The Who, admitted to accidentally running over his friend and bodyguard with his car. Moon, who was allegedly drunk at the time of the incident, publicly apologized for the tragedy. Donald Trump proudly and remorselessly declared that he “could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters.”
4. Roky Erickson, frontman for psych-rock pioneers the 13th Floor Elevators, went so crazy – supposedly in part because of his excessive use of mind-altering drugs – that he continuously blasted TVs, radios and police scanners in an effort to drown out the voices in his head, as depicted in the 2005 documentary You’re Gonna Miss Me. Trump is known to watch Fox News incessantly, and his threatened assault on Portland appears to be based on misinformation he gleaned from the network.
5. Daniel Johnston, a legend of lo-fi indie rock, suffered from a severe bipolar disorder – but acknowledged his mental illness and sought medical help, including multiple stays in mental institutions. Dozens of psychiatrists have publicly asserted that Trump is a sociopathic malignant narcissist, and there are no indications he has acknowledged his alleged mental illness or committed to therapy;
6. Elvis Presley famously flew on his private jet from Graceland to Denver on a night in February 1976 just to buy an 8,000-calorie sandwich. Donald Trump accepted a jet supposedly valued at $400 million from Qatar that the country’s rulers had unsuccessfully tried to sell to other countries but failed because of the high price tag of making the defective jumbo jet functional. American taxpayers will have to foot the bill in order to repair the jet, which would’ve cost the Qataris significant sums of money to maintain and store it.
7. Kanye West has repeatedly claimed publicly that Jewish people own and control the media. Donald Trump said repeatedly last year that Jewish people who vote for Democrats “hate their religion” and “everything about Israel.”
8. GG Allin notoriously exposed his genitalia during his live performances. Donald Trump was found liable for sexually abusing at least one woman, bragged about how he could get away with grabbing women by their genitals and was a close friend of notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
9. Lil Wayne disputed a poll that indicated Jay-Z was more popular and made more money than him. Donald Trump continues to claim he won the 2020 presidential election and spent decades refusing to release his tax returns, allegedly because they would have indicated he did not have as much wealth as he repeatedly declared publicly.
10. Captain Beefheart supposedly required his bandmates to eat a cup of soybeans every day during an eight-month recording session. Donald Trump apparently forces U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Director RFK Jr., who is demanding a reduction in fast-food consumption in the U.S., to eat McDonald’s food when traveling on Air Force One.
