On Tyranny: Off-Duty Cop Reportedly Pepper-Sprays Teen at Turnstile Concert

This will come as no surprise for those of us who have already reckoned with the fact that the U.S. is now controlled by an authoritarian regime, but an apparent deputy recently pepper-sprayed an attendee at a Turnstile concert in Richmond, Virginia.

The alleged incident, captured on body-cam footage, shows an off-duty deputy from the Richmond Sheriff’s Office pepper-spraying a teen, according to The Richmonder. The individual apparently jumped onto the concert stage at Turnstile’s encouragement during the last song of their set.

According to The Richmonder, Turnstile bassist Franz Lyons told Major Jeff Feighner, coordinator of the off-duty cops providing security at the show: “I was playing guitar and I got hit in the face. I’m in the band. There was nothing out of control.”

The news outlet on Wednesday released more than 12 minutes’ worth of video from the alleged incident. Here it is:

The concert took place on Sept. 24, but the release of the body-cam footage has thrust the alleged incident back into the spotlight. The Sheriff’s Department is reportedly not coming forth with additional information about what occurred. Apparently, the off-duty officer was working security at the event.

A representative for Turnstile did not immediately respond to comment prior to the publishing of this article.
